China to host the Tourism Expo & ZTA to take Part
A Zimbabwean tourism delegation is expected to take part in this week’s China International Travel Mart (CITM), the leading professional travel mart in Asia.
The delegation will be headed by Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) Chief Executive, who said joining in such an exhibition will help Zimbabwe market itself as a traveler destination of excellence the world over.
According to the Chief executive, the number of Chinese travelers visiting Zimbabwe has more than tripled over the last couple of years as the southern African country steps up energies to cultivate new source markets.
Chinese travelers into Zimbabwe were less than 10,000 per year five years ago, but have raised to 30,000 per annum, the Chief executive told Xinhua in an interview recently.
China has been executing great for ZTA from the time the ZTA started looking at other source. The market has been replying very well & very positively. The tourism of Zimbabwe is now standing at nearly 30,000 Chinese travelers coming into the country through flights to Zimbabwe every year & it’s a healthy sign.
China’s occurrence in most sectors of Zimbabwe’s economy has been growing since the country accepted the “Look East” policy in 2006, after its relations with the West got focused over the land reform program.s
In current years, China has also been uniting the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority in hosting the annual Sanganai-Hlanganani World Travel & Tourism Africa Fair.
An amount of 25 Chinese exhibitors participated at this year’s fair, which is expected at showcasing a wide diversity of Africa’s tourism products & appeals international buyers, exhibitors as well as tourists.
The Chinese tourism trade fair equally planned by the China National Tourism Administration & the Civil Aviation Administration of China will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on Nov. 15-19. Discounted airlines are available for all of the other visitors of both countries to go and enjoy the good relations.
